(2) To produce a model of linguistic Romanisation in the provinces that simultaneously have hellenophone and indigenous communities. The project will increase the international visibility of the host institution and will garner the attention of young researchers to this topic. The results of this project, consisting mainly in publications, will address both to specialists in ancient history and classical philology. In terms of impact, the output of our project will be open to cross-checking with similar data from other provinces. From the social point of view, a particular importance is to raise awareness about the similarities and differences of the phenomenon of current bilingualism, specific in UE, and ancient bilingualism. The implementation of this project will fulfill an old desire of Southern “Danubian Latin” research and will constitute an essential contribution to the problem of the formation of Eastern Romanian from a linguistic and historical point of view.

(3) The elements of the strategy for disseminating the scientific results are, as follows: to raise scientific awareness through publication of the main results in high ranked journals and prestigious publishing houses; to promote the organisation of conferences, workshops, academic staff exchanges, roundtables, etc.; to focus on the cultural level, by organising media events for non- specialists, public debates, public presentations, etc.
